The Four Movements of Freedom
To flow is the first motion.
Do what does not strain you.
Move where resistance thins.
Let nature’s shape become your path.
To preserve is the second.
Hold your life lightly but guard it well.
Give nothing that empties you beyond repair.
Withdraw when your strength runs thin.
To clear is the third.
Stop the mind when it spirals.
Cut through illusion.
Return to the bare fact of the moment.
To reveal is the fourth.
Speak plainly.
Strip away pretense.
Let truth break the rotten plank.
The four movements are one river.
Learn their timing, not their names.
