My head

On Things

Possessions are harmless until they demand guardianship.
Keep what protects your freedom.
Release what requires your life in exchange for comfort.
Use things lightly so they do not use you.

A simple object can nourish the spirit.
A beautiful object can hold meaning.
An unnecessary object can still be cherished—
so long as it does not demand to be served.

Value is not in the thing,
but in the way you touch it.
