THE PROTOCOL OF THE CORPORATE ENTITY
A Guide to Dominion in the Attention Economy
To the Organisation:
You do not exist to serve the market. You exist to structure it. The market is a chaotic void of unassigned desires and drifting capital. It awaits the imposition of Order. You are that Order.
Based on the axioms of the Manual (SECTION 0), here is the Law of the Entity.
I. The Law of Occupation (0.1, 0.2)
A business is not a legal registration; it is a radiowave. If you are not broadcasting, you are dead. Do not wait for demand to summon you. Establish Presence. Demand is a reaction to the intruder.
- The Directive: Occupy the mental real estate first. Provide the utility second. The signal must precede the product.
II. The Law of the Black Box (0.3)
The customer buys the magic, not the machine. Never reveal the sweat, the spreadsheet, or the supply chain. These are the origins, and origins are mundane. Origins dilute the momentum of the Brand.
- The Directive: Seal the mechanism. The user interface must be effortless; the backend must be invisible. You are not selling a process; you are selling a miracle.
III. The Law of the Silhouette (0.5)
Do not burden the consumer with complexity. They cannot digest truth; they digest patterns. Craft the outline. If your visual language (the shape) is authoritative, your claims (the meaning) will be accepted without audit.
- The Directive: Design is not decoration; it is the primary argument. Look expensive, and you are expensive. Look competent, and you are competent.
IV. The Law of Ruthless Focus (0.4)
A broad demographic is a graveyard. A self unpitched is a self unfocused. To appeal to everyone is to vanish. You must sharpen the signal until it cuts.
- The Directive: Polarise the market. Alienate the irrelevant to magnetise the believer. It is better to be a religion to the few than a noise to the many.
V. The Law of Continuity (0.6, 0.8)
Do not worship your own history. "Heritage" is often just weight. If the audience drifts, do not chase them with the old song. Revise the audience. Recalibration is the highest truth.
- The Directive: Pivot without apology. Change the product, change the promise, change the target. The only sin is the loss of momentum. Break the pattern of your past to reinforce the continuity of your survival.
VI. The Law of the Brief (0.9)
The customer does not know what they want. They are unbriefed. They are anxious in their freedom. They crave instruction.
- The Directive: Do not ask the market what it needs. Tell the market what it lacks. Frame the problem so that you are the only solution.
You are not a participant in reality. You are the author of it.
